It can happen to anybody, of course. As I was getting ready to take a photo of Mrs. Joro, I accidentally pushed the release button all the way down. I hadn’t focused yet and was still wondering what aperture I should use. When I heard the click, I mumbled something to myself, something on the order of “well another wasted frame”.
So it was a bit of a surprise when I saw that wasted frame and recognized a “ghost spider” in it. Here it is.

This was shot with the Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Macro. EXIF says the focus was set to 0.94 m.
Once focused (at 0.6 m) our Joro spider looked more respectable.
