The Joro spiders are getting big and fat – it’s that time of year.
Joro spiders (Trichonephila clavata) have made the South a new home. They seem to be everywhere.

Lounging in the humid heat near our birdbath the rabbit seemed unperturbed by the brown thrasher coming by for a visit.
