Candid Portraits
The Lens-Artists challenge had the topic “portraits“. I have not participated in that challenge, but decided that I am a lens artist, so why not.
So, what is a portrait? One dictionary the definition is “A portrait is a depiction of a person, frequently focusing on the head and shoulders, but can also include the whole figure.” That includes a lot. In my archive I have formal portraits, candid portraits, street photography portraits, group portraits, and several others.
For this challenge I decided on candid portraits not in portrait orientation. Scanning through my archive I selected candidate images. When I had ten, I stopped. Here they are.
Thank you Ritva, Egídio, and all the other Lens-Artists members for this opportunity to join in.

In my Ludwig.Gallery I have a collection of Faces – my way of categorizing portraits there.
GREAT portraits, well done.
Thank you, John
A great bunch of portraits. I particularly like the first one, and the one of the man smoking.
Thank you, Margaret
Ludwig, thanks so much for joining us with your lovely candid portraits, many time those are the most honest ones. I should not pick favorites but I am going to, you choice for a header is my favorite – it is lovely. Then the dark haired lady with a radiant smile and as a side portrait the one with the cigarette.
Thank you, Ritva.
