Small Panes – Large Panes
It was about four years ago that I took the photo featured here. It was not the first time that the somewhat unusual pattern of small panes and large panes intrigued me. There are to prior posts in my archives with windows from that building.

Small panes look “classic”. Our own house has simulated small panes but not mixed with large panes. What is “simulated” about them? The actual glass panes are full sized, and the small frames are removable overlays installed on the inside. I’ll show you how that looks another time.
See the official Monday Window post for today.

The outside view is wonderful Ludwig! And I am intrigued about the simulated panes 🙂.
Here, PR, is a view of our house in a prior Monday Window post: https://cafeludwig.com/2025/01/monday-window-250113/. The windows all have two full panes. On the inside there are wooden slats that are clipped to the frames and they make it look like there are multiple smaller panes.
I agree, they are quite unusual Ludwig. I have actual wooden divided window panes. Each window has six sections. Never thought about posting my own windows.
Thanks for joining in Monday Window 😀
Lately I have been shooting mine. As soon as I get what I am after I will post it.
