Hampton Inn Savannah - February 2011

Hotel

Last week I showed a large, modern hotel – and its windows. This week I will do another hotel. This time the Hampton Inn on East Bay Street in Savannah, Georgia. It used to be our favorite place to stay. Would still be, but we are not travelling anymore. It was our favorite not because it is a pleasant place and has all the amenities, although those are there, but because of the location on East Bay Street overlooking the river below. We always opted for a room with river view, up on the third or fourth floor. It is easy to get down to River Street, there is a stairway just across the street.

You might ask, “how come there is just one person on the street?” Well, the photo was taken early in the morning when most people were still having breakfast. You can see the streetlights are still on.
