The Norcross Woman’s Club was founded in 1905 by civic-minded women involved with the National Library Movement. The women approached various businessmen and philanthropists, including Andrew Carnegie, for donations to support the construction of a library building and by 1921, they had raised enough funds to construct the first library in Gwinnett County.

I love the color scheme as well as the style of the windows and pillars at the door! The painting – that’s a new one for me, I don’t think I have seen that style before. It’s beautiful. I’ll go look up the artist now.
Thank you, PR. It seems that in years past, architecture was more decorative than it is now. Glad you liked the painting. It is from the Cleveland Museum of Art, which is across the street from where I attended college. It was my go-to place when I needed to clear my head of studies.
That is a good place to get a break from studies 😀.
